Newham Children's Fund Peer Evaluation Project
Newham Children's Fund commissioned CNL Consultancy to develop and deliver a pilot peer evaluation project. This involved training a group of children and young people and supporting them to interview a number of children about the services they receive.

CNL Consultancy provided 20 children and young people with the skills and tool to interview 66 children and young people from a range of projects, with the findings and peer evaluator's recommendations being written up in a report. The project ended with some of the peer evaluators talking about their experience and findings at a Children's Fund Providers meeting.

Wandsworth Council
The Big Lottery Children's Play Programme provided a catalyst for Wandsworth to develop a Play Strategy that would be informed by the views of local children and young people and their families.

CNL Consultancy was commissioned to undertake a comprehesive study of free play opportunities and consulted some 20 parents and carers and children and young people aged 5-18 through focus groups and an observation activity.

The final report informed the development of the Play Strategy and child friendly summaries were distributed to all the children and young people involved.

Riverhaven Ltd
In response to antisocial behaviour and 'intergenerational' conflict, housing association Riverhaven Ltd commissioned CNL Consultancy to run a video project giving young people the chance to get their views across to local decision-makers.

Working with Riverhaven's anti-social behaviour and community development teams, CNL Consultants recruited eight young people who were involved in the process from start to finish. They chose the themes, researched the issues, created the storyboard, interviewed local people, filmed, directed and edited the video.

Harrow Parks
When Harrow Council received additional funding to bring three of its local parks up to Green Flag status (the national standard for parks and green spaces), the council turned to CNL Consultancy for support.

CNL Consultancy consulted 376 young people, aged between three and 20, through a questionnaire, focus groups and face-to-face interviews.

The views were collated in adult and child-friendly versions of a consultation report, which were circulated to council members, interested parties and the young people involved.

Greater London Authority
The health and public services committee of the London Assembly, which forms part of the Greater London Authority, commissioned CNL Consultancy to carry out a consultation project. This involved gathering data about young Londoners' views on proposals set out in the government's green paper, Youth Matters.

As part of the project, CNL Consultancy facilitated four focus groups with 39 young people from four London boroughs. A group of young people presented the findings to the health and public services committee.
